Progress monitoring is completed through a once-daily submission of a 1-10 rating of a patient’s mood along with an optional comment. That’s all there is for the patient to complete — it’s as simple as that.
Clinicians have access to this data and can insert phase changes wherever necessary in order to build a more complete picture of their patients’ mental health. This tool is meant to complement regularly scheduled therapy sessions and provide a clinician additional data that can guide the treatment of a patient using mood-related data such as input from the 10-point Likert scale and patient comments.
Patients are never associated with names in the app’s database and instead are identified by clinic-assigned participant IDs and some basic demographic information.
The Psychology Clinic’s progress monitoring app is in now way meant to provide real-time support or monitoring for patients who may experience suicidal ideation. In the event of an episode of suicidal ideation, patients should call 9-1-1.
